Description     Shipping and payments     Additional information
This is a London-made Enfield Pattern 1853 3-band musket. Over 900,000 Enfields were brought over from England during the Civil War and saw extensive use with both sides. The lock plate is marked "Potts & Hunt" with typical London proof markings on the left side of the barrel. The gun is in Very GOOD + condition with some pitting around the nipple area. The rifle is complete and shows smooth even wear. It has brass end cap and butt plate. There is a small chip out of the tang area on the left side. See photos. The butt plate is stamped “K” Mass 33. I believe this to be Company K, 33rd Massachusetts Volunteers. I have added this link for additional info. Another great addition to your Civil War collection. More Photos Upon Request
