Purchased 2004 at a gun show in Denver CO. The seller, who had inherited the gun from his diseased father lived in Ft. Collins CO knew that a friend of his father had customized this terrific Ruger 25-06. Being a novice collector I could not resist owning the most beautiful gun a had ever seen. I still do not know who engraved this gun and fitted it with the gorgeous curly walnut stock. Friends persuaded me not to checker the stock...it was not worth the risk of damaging that could occur and I finally agreed. You will never own a more beautiful rifle than this 25-06. This gun shoots a fine small group from the bench.
