Minature Italian Army Rifle SS#97XX This gun is really tiny and is shown in the photos with a standard size A5 Browning 16 ga. for size comparison. The man I got this gun from said it was a training rifle for pre-war Italian youth (similar to Hitler youth)however I have been in the gun business all my life and have never seen one so don't know if the story I got with the gun was true or not. The gun looks exactly like a WWII Italian Carcano but I don't know what type of shell it takes. It is missing the miniature bayonet, has a crack at the toe of the stock and behind the tang of the receiver (see photos). The bore and action are both good and the stock is SS# same as the receiver and has a cartouche that is to faded to read. Metal butt plate and sling attchments as well as a tangent rear sight.
