Description: Here, we believe, is one of the early products of Mr. Sam Cummings and the fledgling Interarms Company that he founded in the 1950s. This is obviously a parts gun, not notable for its finish at all, but probably in its original configuration as it left the old warehouse in Alexandria some time, by our estimate, during the LBJ years. Slide is a Government surplus Remington Rand. Hammer, slide stop and some of the other internal parts appear to be of GI origin as well. Frame is simply marked Interarms Silver Cup, and serial number is SC1200 range. Frame is steel, and baked on finish appears to have been the best economical way, but certainly not the most attractive way, to get the parts to match. Lack of any other markings on the frame leads us to believe that the frame, and thus the whole pistol, was manufactured prior to 1968. Mainspring housing is later replacement Pachmayr. Sights may be original. If we are correct that the finish is the original configuration, then this pistol will rate Very Good, 80 percent range by our estimate. Bore, chamber, and internal parts are bright, clean, and excellent. Trigger is a reasonably crisp 4 3/4 pounds. Trigger is 7 serration cast steel, probably some of Mr. Cummings's parts acquisitions. Colt factory Red Match grips are 1980s production, and are perhaps appropriate for this Silver Cup's configuration. This is a locally owned pistol for the past couple of decades from one of our customers in Benton County, Tennessee. It is a good old reliable shooter, but not a match grade gun despite its Colt-Copying model designation. It might even win what we hillbillies call an Ugly Man Contest, a beauty-contest-in-reverse that accompanies some of our rural festivities on occasion. We are including a set of Hogue 1911 grips as well, in case the Red Colts are too much for the new owner's tastes. What is important about this pistol is that it is one of the earlier Interarms specimens, made before the company reached its stride during the Reagan Years. As such, we consider it to be eminently collectable, just not on the same level of collectability as one of the Walthers that Mr. Cummings brought in later. We're offering it for only $ 389.95 Not transferable to civilians in Chicago, California, Massachusetts, or NYC.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
