Italian M38 rifle in excellent cond. SA stamped, this rifle was shipped to the Finish Army for use against the Russians in WWII.
Made in 1939 at the Terni arms factory. It also has the crossed rifles to indicate that this rifle has superior accuracy.
The caliber is the rare 7.35 mm. The Italian's wanted a harder hitting weapon during WWII to take the place for their 6.5mm in use at the time. It did not work as well as they wanted so they went back to the 6.35mm round.
This is why the 7.35mm with the crossed rifles makes this gun a RARE beauty. It has been published that there are fewer then 100,000 rifles were ever made.
