This shotgun is overbuilt, quality is exceptional for its time. Patterned very close to the Winchester Model 12. DESCRIPTION: Model 20 583.56 SERIAL NUMBER: NA (Serial numbers were not required until the Gun Control Act of 1968). Walnut stock and fore-end with J.C. Higgins signature recoil pad. Jeweled bolt. Attached to the ventilated rib 22" barrel is a POWerPAC Compensator with medium range choke tube. FEATURES: Cartridge (magazine) cutoff is located on the left side of the receiver and is intended lock loaded shells in the magazine, enabling the unloading of an unfired shell in the chamber.
