This sale is for a Circa 1956 Browning A-5 Light Twelve. This was the first year of the "G" designation on the Serial #. SN# (G)207XX, built in 1956. Barrel is 28" (Actually measures 27-1/2") Smooth barrel, chambered for 2-3/4" 12 Guage shells. MODIFIED CHOKE
Beautifully engraved receiver, tang, trigger guard. Barrel shows some markings from use, however nothing serious. The receiver is in wonderful shape again showing only light wear. The stock still maintains its original finish, however there are some areas where the finish is gone. There is a hairline mark on the neck, however the stock is still on tight, no wiggles. The crack does not appear to go all the way through. The stock is still solid. Very nice checkering on the stock, both wrist and forend. Made by FN Belgium, imported to Browning St. Louis
