This box of Winchester AX4440 ammo is not in its original box; better than that, it’s in an MTM type 50 round plastic sealable box. This is late production Winchester .44-40 ammo, made since 2000. It came to us with an acquisition that included a Ruger Vaquero chambered in the caliber. There is light to moderate spotty toning on the cases, and some 6 rounds have more conspicuous toning from being carried in a cartridge loop. Photo shows the worst-toned cartridges in the lot. This ammo is, however, in excellent serviceable condition. Replacement price on this stuff in our area is around $50 per box. We’re offering this box, however, for only $ 29.95

We readily ship to Licensed Federal Firearms Dealers, and in some states – particularly the Northeastern U.S., and California – we require an FFL Dealer to receive ammo. Adult signature is required, plus a faxed or scanned copy of your valid driver’s license or other photo id. We reproduce the language of our immense Texas competitor in their sales policy:
We don’t ship ammo to Illinois, New York City (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island or Queens, NY), Massachusetts, Washington D.C., Sacramento, San Francisco or Los Angeles, CA. … All ammo orders require either a FFL License or an Ammo statement on file. An Ammo statement consists of a readable copy of a drivers License and a signed handwritten statement that states, “I am at least 21 years of age and no local, state or federal law prohibits me from buying ammo.” These statements are kept on file and only need to be submitted one time unless of [sic] a change of address. … (CDNN, “Terms and Conditions,” CDNN Sports, Inc. flyer October 2007, page 152)
Our procedure will be identical to CDNN’s and Cabela’s on ammunition policy. $10 flat fee, UPS ground, insured, to lower 48 for 1-4 Boxes. Add 50 cents per box on more than 4 boxes. MC-Visa-USPS Money Orders shipped same day; up to 7 business day hold on checks, especially Cashier's Checks.
