Description: EAA’s Windicator® revolvers are some of the best to be had for under $400. Their snubs have a history, since the 1968 Gun Control Act stopped direct importation. Here is an attractive early domestically produced .38 Special. FIE model designation was simply, the Standard .38. This one comes to us from a light duty security career in New England. From its 60,000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1970 or 1971, one of FIE’s first snubs. Frame manufacturer was Firearms Import and Export Corp of Miami, direct ancestor to EAA. Parts manufacturer was Manufacturer is Hermann Weihrauch Revolver GmbH of Mellrichstadt, Germany. Construction is steel one piece barrel, cylinder, hammer, trigger, and internal parts with an alloy main frame and grip frame. Type is traditional double and single action revolver. Ejection is pull pin roll out cylinder. Ignition is hammer against floating firing pin. All Arminius series revolvers have a transfer bar internal safety that prevents the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is fully depressed. Barrel is one piece .675 diameter steel, with six groove right hand 18.75 rifling. Front Sight is screw on, alloy serrated ramp that mates to frame integral fixed notch rear sight. Trigger is .230 serrated face service width, with .230 serrated spur hammer. Cylinder is pull pin roll out, eject with the pin. Chambering is six rounds of .38 Smith & Wesson Special standard velocity non +P ammunition. Firing +P rounds can batter the frame face, as we have seen in the past. Grips are one piece compact type. Finish is blued steel and black anodized. Weight empty is 27 ounces with center of gravity at the trigger point. Surface detractions on this specimen are minimal, principally streaking on one of the cylinder areas and small marks on the trigger guard. We rate it as Very Good, close to Excellent, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and single action pull measures in the 5 pound vicinity. Cylinder times correctly with hammer travel to spare in all six positions on single and double action. Lateral play to the cylinder is negligible. Blast effect to the underside of the frame top strap directly above the barrel’s forcing cone is negligible. Cylinder face shows carbon on only two chambers. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate this revolver was fired no more than 12 times. Replacement pricing on the Windicator is well above $300 in our area. We’re offering its ancestor FIE Standard in the photos, however, for only $ 169.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, District of Colombia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, or any jurisdiction with a melt law that affects handguns. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $15 lower 48; $40 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
