Features include Holland's single trigger, 28-inch M/M-choked barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejectors, English stock with 15-inch LOP over leather pad, beavertail forend, rolled trigger guard (right hand) and motor case. Dimensions (appx): DAC - 1.5, DAH - 2.15, cast off .375. Weight is 6.5 pounds. Overall condition is exceptionally strong, with bright case and good wood. A tiny sliver is missing from the upper right rear corner of the forend. According to Holland & Holland, serial 34690 was ordered in 1961 as a 28-gauge with 26-inch barrels by G.S. or J.S. Parker (unsure of first initial). No additional information was available, with the records checked twice. The stock shield is engraved with initials "RNW". Research has failed to locate the whereabouts of the 28-gauge barrels or the identity of "RNW". This shotgun originated from the estate of Jack Parker, former President of the Boone and Crockett Club as well as Vice Chairman and Executive Officer of the General Electric Company (1). A lifelong hunter and conservationist, this offering is in keeping with his wishes that some of his firearms be used to further the Club's conservation efforts.
