Offered here is a Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine. This rifle is rare and is the only factory Winchester to have the sling swivels on the side of the stock. It was manufactured for a special contract to the British for a conflict in the Belgian congo in 1913. ( See Madis Book - Page 437 ). The rifle is 30 caliber and the serial number is 684838. Manufacture date 1913. Barrel length is approx. 20" and overall length is approx. 38". The bore is very good and action works fine. Aside from a few minor superficial dings and scratches all of the wood is in quite good condition with no cracks. This is a rare variation of the 1894 S.R.C. in very good overall condition.
