There are many cruiser grips for shotgun on the market nowadays. Here is the best. Take our word for it: nobody wants hold of a 3 inch Magnum lead load with a hard plastic grip on one's shotgun in place of a buttstock. One trick is to keep the shotgun out of the shooters face, because, as Jerry Lee says, there's a whole lot of shakin' goin' on. The pistol grip with this kit is classic Pachmayr soft rubber that absorbs a significant amount of recoil. The forend is made of identical material, important for what we just emphasized, keeping the shotgun out of the shooter's face. Installer will need to read the instructions, not particularly difficult, but one will need to know how to remove the forend assembly from an 870, take the wood off, and put it back. There are You Tube demonstrations on how to do this, but for best results, a competent gunsmith might be called for. Photo shows our photographer's 870 that has had a Vindicator Kit on it for over 20 years, and he has never had a broken wrist or stitches in his mouth.
