Parker BH 12ga. UNTOUCHED CONDITION, DETAILED FACTORY LETTER

The Parker BH is a high grade gun that was custom made to the customer's specifications. Engraving patterns varied and the border work and scroll coverage was very ornate. There were few hammerless B grades produced, with only 732 known produced in 12 gauge, and only 437 with fluid steel barrels. If you consider loss over the years there are likely less than 400 remaining on the planet, many of those altered significantly or restored since leaving the factory. This fine Parker, sn 111893 made in 1902, matches a very detailed factory letter. The receiver and barrels still retain the original factory finishes, the original wood is likely restored. In today's marketplace it is difficult indeed to find an unmolested high grade Parker. In the next few years there will be few original guns left for sale which will drive up the prices as shooter/collectors look for the original guns first. Investing in a great Parker will earn you money over time while you enjoy the art and its usefulness in the field.

The 30" Titanic steel barrels retain 97% original blue with light handling marks, excellent bores, minimum barrel wall thickness 30 thou right, 31 thou left, bore diameter .736, choked M/F (.017/.036, can be altered to your desires at $70 per barrel, shipped F/F), extractors, factory 2 7/8" chambers (for 3" shells), tight ribs, ivory mid-bead, silver front bead, barrels tight on breech face, a great set of barrels.

The #2 frame action is uniquely factory engraved with 8 birds, 2 dogs, and 2 bounding stags on the bottom side, back shaded scroll, and chain borders. The screws are excellent plus, with 25% faded case color, engraving sharp and clear, crisp double triggers, action tight with lever centered, trigger guard beautifully engraved and mostly silvered, beaded fences, just gorgeous.

The finely checkered French walnut stock retains excellent finish, no cracks or repairs, excellent checkering, factory specified Silvers pad (old one rock hard, genuine Silvers installed in its place), 14 1/4" LOP, 2 3/4" DAH, 1 11/16" DAC, neutral cast (can be bent to your specs for about $180 within 10 days of purchase), gold pistol grip cap, flor-de-lis carvings at wrist area, very ornate tip and escutcheon on forend...GORGEOUS!

This Parker weighs 7lb. 12oz. on the #2 frame and balances perfectly on the hinge pin. Being ordered for 3" shells this BH was likely a waterfowler. She is still up to that task and would make a great sporting clays gun as well. If you have a few lower grade Parkers the 12 gauge BH grade is an affordable way to have a true high grade Parker in your collection. Sure to become more valuable in the coming years, I can't think of a better place to invest than a fine Parker. The Blue Book of Gun Values places a price of $11K on a gun in 30% condition. This gun exceeds that mark.

There are more photos upon request. This gun has a 30 day mechanical warranty on this gun. Please see our other fine Vintage Firearms on this website. Just click on the line in the ad that says "see all items from this seller" and a great list of sporting and collectible arms will appear.
