Gallager Civil War Saddle Ring Carbine Percussion Standard Model 50cal Bore Exc, Mech VG plus tight action, Wood VG plus with partial cartouche, Has an original 22 ¼” Rd barrel with original sights. The Lockplate has partially visible Markings. Gallagers patent July 17th 1860 Serial# 12115.. Metal overall has a dark aged patina finish with fine pitting in areas. Has Saddle ring bar and ring on the left side. Also has the original metal patch box on the right side of the stock. Springfield research has all the Gallagers in this range at Co A 4th Tenn Mounted Infantry in 8/20/1864
