HG220C345BSSPSAO Here is the finest single action carry .45 a person can own, one of only a few ever made of what we call Sig's Officer Size, the P220 Compact in .45 ACP. Factory Order number is 220C3-45-BSSP-SAO, brand new in its original box with instruction manual, California Compliant lock, and two stainless 6-shot factory magazines. Sights are high resolution Siglite Luminous Night Sights. Barrel length is 3 3/4 inches; overall extreme length is 7 3/4 inches from the muzzle to the end of the beavertail grip frame strut; and height measured 90 degrees from the slide top is only 4 1/4 inches, 5 inches including the rear sight and magazine finger rest. Maximum slide thickness is only .998 inches, although the grips and the springs that they protect push grip frame measurement out to a maximum of 1.33 inches, including the slide stop. The .998, however, is what sticks down in the back of a person's pants, if a person carries like our photographer does. Note the extended beavertail backstrap area. Weight empty on this little Sig .45 is less than 30 ounces, very light and pleasant. Action is single action only; the hammer stands in fire position just like the Colt 1911 descendant competitors. Loaded carry condition is either no rounds in the chamber and hammer down, or live round in chamber with hammer back and ambidextrous safety engaged. Finish is non-glare, durable, weather resistant Nitron. Trigger pull is the customary, excellent Sig 5 pound vicinity with minimal felt creep; the Sig lays its 1911 competitors in the shade on trigger pull, always has. This 220 Compact variant is no longer catalogued, and were only able to get a handful, including the photo specimen. Normal retail or replacement pricing on any new Sig .45, as our shoppers well know, is in the $800 to $1000 per unit price range. We’re offering the 220 Single Action Compacts, however, the pistol in the photos or one of its identical mates, for only $ 639.00.
