Gun is custom built, unknown maker. German slant breech. martini type action. Underlever with double set triggers. Extended tang with socket for peep sight. Some original case color and moderate scroll engraving. Has been rebarreled with old Winchester model 70 22 Hornet barrel. 23.5" barrel. Barrel has been modified enough to not be usable on Winchester receiver. Stock is one piece straight grain walnut with perch belly and Monte Carlo cheekpiece. LOP 13.5". Unertl style scope blocks added to barrel. Japanese Redfield 4x16 duplex reticle scope. Minor dent in objective thread ring. Can be used as-is or salvaged to make classic German off-hand rifle. Overall in good condition. Wood shows use, poor bedding on tang. Metal shows light pitting in small areas on receiver. Blue wear at muzzle, otherwise shows normal wear/use. Bore very good. If gun is dry fired, firing pin will stay out and require bolt to be taken apart to fix. However, if gun is dry fired on snap-cap or fired with live ammo, this does not happen and gun functions properly. Function has been checked by a gunsmith. More photos on request.
