Marlin Model 55 Bolt Action 12 GA Shotgun has a 28" smooth Bore. Serial No. L27083. It appears to have a full choke due to the fact a dime will not pass through the muzzle. Bead front sight with a 4 shot magazine. Has a one piece stock that has a few superficial mars No cracks or chips. The bottom of the stock and forend were improperly drilled for swivels which have been plugged. It has an LOP of 14 1/8" over a Red Recoil Pad. The Markings on left side fo the BBL are "L27083" and "6T", the right side of BBL "JM". The top of the BBL "The Marlin Firearms Co. - Est. 1870 / New Hasven Conn. U.S.A. - Model 55 - 12GA".
