Happily, this Fender model DG-5 Acoustical Guitar is not made in China; rather, it is a product of Indonesia. It is an excellent quality guitar, and locally owned by one of our favorite Gospel singers who frequently trades guns and guitars. Surface detractions are minimal, only occasional superficial pecking and scouring at a few places on the edge of the head, and on the lower 5’oclock area of the top and body. Finish is original semi-gloss, we estimate this one’s about 10 years old from our knowledge of its owner and from its sound. This is an easy-noting, bright sounding Fender, just old enough to be good and dry. Neck is perfectly straight, and any bridge pressure indications are minimal, as the photos should show. Replacement price on this guitar. Body and top are, according to factory specs, Basswood, with Rosewood fingerboard. Note that the keys are quality geared metal, and it even comes with a decent quality capo. From what we can determine, further, years of production were 1995 – 1998, then, we assume, production began in China. Own this excellent non-Chinese Fender acoustic for only $ 139.00..
