PRICE REDUCED ($5500 to $4800). This is a WWI Model 1911 produced by Springfield Armory. It has been professionally restored by the late Bill Adair of Texas approximately 8-10 years ago. It was manufactured in 1914 and is one of only approximately 30,000 ever produced by Springfield for the War effort. It remains unfired and rated at 99% condition since it's restoration. The internal and external parts including the barrel and magazine are all correct. It is in .45 ACP caliber with a 5" Springfield barrel. The gun was resored correctly as to the metal polish and bluing process that would have been used by Springfield in 1914. All the lettering, cartouches, and American Eagle are crisp.
