Accuracy International AE MKII .308 Win
Accuracy International introduced the Updated AI AE MKII in 2008 at the request of the law enforcement community.
The AE MKII incorporates the following key enhancements from it predecessor AI AEMkI:
Uses AICS 5 and 10 round magazines
A barrel can be changed in less than ten minutes
Full length aluminium chassis is standard
Fitted with a fixed bolt on butt pad together with 0.4” and a 0.8” spacer.
The two position safety blocks the firing pin when to the rear, and allows the weapon to fire in the forward position.
The 0.75” (20mm) diameter steel close fitting bolt combined with vents and a gas shroud minimises blowback in the event of cartridge failure.
The integral short throw bolt handle (60°) with large bolt knob, lies close to the stockside just above the trigger to minimise movement of the user’s hand.
Four sling attachment points are fitted as standard. Two are mounted on each side of the weapon.
