Description: If we read the IE German marking correctly on this revolver, it was manufactured in 1984, and one of the very last RG Revolvers to be imported into the US. Manufacturer was Rohm Gesontheim in Germany; and that company’s U.S. branch in Miami functioned for about 10 years after pulling away from the F.I.E. Company some time around 1976. The RG 66 .22 LR Single Action cop y of the Colt Scout was one fo RG’s best revolvers. Construction is 4 1/2 inch all steel blue barrel, steel fluted 6 shot cylinder, steel hammer, trigger, rods and internal parts all built into a pot metal alloy frame. Stepped ramp front sight, ejector rod housing, and grip frame and trigger guard are pot metal alloy as well. Rear blade sight is windage adjustable, and grips are checkered composite with finger rest left panel. The High Noon, like its predecessor 66, contains a transfer bar internal safety device. Of all the cheaper made Colt Scout imports, the RG was the best made with the smoothest action. The RG-66 claimed eminence in the 1970s, and shortly before the US Importer folded in the wake of the Brady Lawsuit Judgment, several of these revolvers bore the named model High Noon, like this one. Weight empty is only 17 ounces, with the center of gravity between the trigger and front guard juncture, well balanced. Single action only trigger pull gauges at 3 pounds, with minimal felt creep or travel. Surface contact wear on this High Noon is only moderate, with edge whitening at the muzzle, the adjacent ejector rod housing, and butt edge of the grip frame, with holster whitening on the lateral extremities of the frame. We rate it as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. This RG is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. This revolver was bought new from us in 1985, and owned exclusively by a local master auto mechanic. It has been fired fewer than 1000 rounds, and the rear cylinder face shows no pinging whatsoever, no signs of dry firing. This is a good revolver, the RG-66’s always were. We’re offering it for only $ 219.00. Single action revolvers are transferable, to the best of our knowledge, to civilians in all jurisdictions of the United States, including California, Massachusetts, and the District of Colombia. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
