Description: Despite the Great Depression being full blown by 1932, or perhaps because of it, Remington introduced one of its best rifles ever that year, the Model 33. Production ceased in 1935. From this specimen’s AA barrel code, it was manufactured in March of 1932. We have located a single digit numberal on the bottom side of the action and recorded it as this rifle’s serial number, and we believe we are correct in that assignment. If we are correct, it is one of the first week’s production of this model, if not the first day’s. Inventor was C.C. Loomis. Type is pull knob bolt action single shot. Chambering is .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, and so marked. Manufacturer was Remington Arms, Hoefler Ave., Ilion, NY. Construction is blue steel barrel, take down thumb screw, receiver, trigger guard and butt plate, with white steel bolt. Stock is thin fluted type like its contemporary competitor 67 Winchesters, American Walnut. Length of pull is 13 1/4 inches from the chrome plated .187 smooth trigger face to the end of the blue steel butt plate. Barrel is 24 inch blue steel, dovetailed beaded blade front sight and steel v notch rear sight that is attached to a dovetailed base block with two steel screws. Elevator is replacement, but everything else is original on this rifle. Overall length is 42 inches; weight empty is 4 pounds 7 ounces with center of gravity at the take down bolt. Surface detractions are moderate, principally brown toning on the barrel surfaces. About 10 percent of that is etchy, but no deep pits. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We have test fired this rifle with Long Rifle ammunition, and no misfires or failures to extract. We rate it as Very Good condition, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. This rifle comes to us from its home domicile in neighboring Henderson County, Tennessee, from its original family of ownership. We’re offering it for only $ 319.00. Definitely C&R Eligible. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $60 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground or USPS Priority with full insurance coverage. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
