This is a WWII era Soviet Model TT-33 Tokarev manufactured at Ishevsk in 1945. These hard-hitting single action pistols were developed in the USSR to replace the Nagant M1895 revolver as the principle side arm for the military in 1930. The TT-33 is chambered for the potent and highly-penetrative 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridge, held in an 8 round detachable box magazine. While TT-33 variants are plentiful and remain in production even today, WWII era, Soviet-made TT-33s are very rare in the U.S. Bluing on this specimen is very good, at 85 – 90% intact. Mechanically in excellent condition; it is crisp and tight; there are no cracks or splits in the plastic grips; no rust or pitting anywhere; and the bore looks clean and bright. It comes with 2 magazines and a cold-war era holster with cleaning rod. There are importation markings and an aftermarket, legally-required safety device. This is a solid TT-33 for the WWII era collector.
