An unusual gun to find on the loose this Stevens model 414 Armory with a heavy 25" barrel in .22 short used for competitive indoor shooting 1912 to 1932. Same frame as the Walnut Hill model this model has a military front wood, with sling swivels.Action works good, and the American walnut wood is original with some handling dings, metal is mostly blue on the barrel, and the receiver is mottled grey brown.Has a side mounted Lyman peep sight , and the bore is very good rifling, some minor roughness in the grooves from corrosive ammo used long ago.Has original grooved black hard rubber butt-plate.I hope you like my wide selection of unusual guns.
