Believe to be factory engraved because of the Remington factory pattern and style. Was also inscribed with something on a banner on the left receiver but can't read it now. Solid wood with no cracks, fair bore with good rifling but a very slight ring in it. Near impossible to photograph but it is there about 8" back from the muzzle. Great gun to restore! Or clean it up and collect it as is. Must be inspected by your gunsmith before shooting! But it looks solid to me. Made the 1920's or 30's. C&R is fine on this gun in most states.
