Date code on this Remington 1100's Original Barrel is A W, March 1972. This shotgun comes to us from a Northeast Mississippi Estate where it took its share of fox squirrels with #5 Express Loads, and even a few deer with Express Buckshot. Muzzle Constriction is an Improved Modified Range .691, and the Remingtons never were as tightly choked as their Browning competitors. This is a very attractive, moderately used, eminently serviceable shotgun. Its barrel has an Ivory front bead with a white middle bead. This 1100's principal detractions are handling wear on the back of its forend oand on the under side of the receiver, with a few scours on the upper area of the receiver. Weathering to the end of the buttstock by the spacer is minimal, this 1100 was well maintained. We rate it as Very Good, since 85 percent of its finish is intact by our estimate. Photos should suffice, however, for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically, bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent.
