EUROPEAN rifle that chambers a .38S&W very well, but may be for a 9mm revolver cartridge, and looks like a rim fire.. Will make a chamber casting to determine caliber. Length of the gun is 42", with a 26" heavy octagonal barrel, and bore has good rifling with patches of shallow pitting more toward the muzzle end.The French walnut stock is very good, and is finely hand checkered. Has a Leige proof make and a name in a circle of: BISCOHP. Medal has a brown patina but not pitted. Unusual gun for someone's collection.Three photos listed.
