Inland Type 1 M-1 Carbine 30 cal, s/n 125752 (behind rear sight), high wood stock, 2 hole hand guard, sliding adjustable rear sight, flat bolt, barrel date 1942, push safety (later models had tab), Proof marks include GHD (Lt. Col Guy H. Drewry), UEF (Underwood – Elliott – Fischer) in square w/ crossed cannons on right stock side, TN in rear stock sling slot, oiler w/ IS on cap, green sling (post WW II), 1 ea WALTER E. ALLEN 1943 ammo pouch that holds 2 ea 15 round magazines, 4 ea hard back type 15 round magazines stamped;

My father brought this gun back from Europe at the end of WWII. When he processed out of the Army in Oakland, CA May 10, 1945, Qtr. Master told him "keep it, I have all my M-1's accounted for." It's been in the family ever since and about 8 months ago I ran a few mags thru hunting wild pigs - still works great.
