This listing is for TWO Magazines, and two was all we had at press time on this ad. Here is a pair of AR-15 Magazines, factory Colt and so marked. These bear a CH marking, looks like a UI until you hold it sideways. Initials are, we are told, for Colt Harvey, one of the principals who developed the AR-15 itself. Construction is alloy body, follower, and floorplate, with steel spring. Floorplates, as the photos show, bear the Rampant Colt logo, and markings Colt AR-15 / Cal 5.56 mm / Colt’s Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. Inc. / Hartford, Conn. U.S.A. This pair came to us a few years ago from a Texas Estate. Both of them show moderate to extensive finish weakening on their surfaces, and moderate amounts of carbon on their alloy cartridge followers. Our best estimate is that these magazines were manufactured in the 1970s, but definitely well before the 1994 Federal Ban period went into effect. These are period correct then, for any AR-15 from the earlier SP prefix with no Forward Bolt Assist, up to serial numbers CC001616, NL004800, TA10100, CHOI 9500, SL027284, BD000134, GCOI 8500, SP380200, LH011326, ST038100, and MH086025.
