Master engraver 'Olaf Weiss' executed and signed this beautiful work with scroll engraving on the action, top of the barrel, trigger guard, bottom of the frame, break lever and forearm hardware. Both side locks feature exquisitely done, realistic wildlife scenes. The left side lock is signed "O.Weiss".

The two piece forearm and perfectly matched straight grip stock are of luxury grade, oil finish, exhibition quality Circassian walnut with wrap around checkering. The locking, leather take down case contains a set of accessories, including Merkel snap caps and rosewood cleaning rod with brass fittings. The original Merkel box comes with this gun.
