Description: This listing is for the exact pistol in the photos. Dealers and law enforcement, however, may take any identical extra specimens we have on hand at the same per gun price and with no additional shipping charges. Developed in 2011, this FNS pistol traces its roots to John M. Browning and the 1935 Hi-Power. It represents FN’s first foray into larger bore striker fired pistols, however. Manufacturer is FNH USA, with production facilities in Columbia, South Carolina. Type is striker fired, full time double action semi automatic pistol, short recoil operated. Construction is stainless steel barrel, slide, disassembly lever, magazine release, full length guide rod; and with steel inner parts. Metal finish is black matte Nitride. Sights are anodized alloy, with polymer frame, trigger, backstrap, and decocking safety levers. Barrel is 4 inch cold hammer forged, 1:16 left hand conventional six groove rifling with polished feed ramp. Chambering is .40 Smith & Wesson caliber. Sights are dovetailed front and rear, 3 dot combat Trijicon factory issue night sights. Trigger is .350 two piece smooth faced combat, 3/4 inch two stage pull distance. Mechanism is full time double action, with a long smooth 5 1/2 pound double action pull. Safety system has a firing pin safety, as well as the ambidextrous safety lever that the FNS’s competition simply does not have. The FNS does Not have a magazine safety. Magazines are steel bodied smooth finish blued steel with welded back sides, steel sprigs, and polymer floorplate and cartridge follower. Each magazine holds 14 rounds of .40 S&W ammunition, so 14+1 fully loaded capacity. Frame incorporates a 4 slot Mil-Standard M13 Picatinny rail for light or accessory. Safety lever, magazine release, and slide stop are all ambidextrous with no need for modification for left handed shooters. Slide rail inserts measure 1.5 inches front and 1/4 inch rear; these are easily replaceable and will give the FNX unmatched longevity, tens of thousands of rounds. Grip frame comes with an extra smaller interchangeable mainspring housing or back strap, to adjust the grip circumference for almost any size hand. Overall length is 7 1/4 inches from the barrel muzzle to the tail of the grip frame strut. Height is 5 1/2 inches from the top of the rear sight to the bottom of the magazine floorplate. Frame thickness is 1.165 at the ejection port and on the grip frame. Weight empty is 24.7 ounces, with center of gravity at the back top of trigger, or 33 ounces fully loaded with 180s and centered at the back of the magazine release. This specimen comes to us from one of our dealer friends in Louisiana. It is in its original box with manual, factory registration card, cable lock, fired brass envelope, and total of 3 magazines. Its fired brass envelope is dated from 2012, second year of production. It has never to our knowledge been fired, loaded, or transferred. We do not detect any shelfwear. We rate it as Mint or Near Mint Old Stock, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. The only reason we will not accept a return is, this pistol is under full factory warranty. Replacement pricing this FN in our area is over $600. We’re offering this 66942 FNS with Fully Luminous Trijicon factory issue Night Sights, however, for only $ 429.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California or Massachusetts. For any civilian buyers in New York or the District of Colombia, $30 off but no magazines. >>>>>>>>>> $15 lower 48; $40 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
