Photo shows the first specimen we dinosaurs got in stock of the Ruger SR-9 Olive Drab Green Polymer grip frame and Black Stainless Slide pistol, introduced at the 2007 Shot show over two years ago. Evidently, it was worth the wait because Ruger has made all the improvements they needed to from a massive amount of consumer feedback. This is Ruger's first striker-fired pistol. Like its 25 some odd year competitor Glock, it does not have a hammer. It is semi-automatic, double action only, caliber 9mm, 4.1 inch barrel, 17 + 1 Capacity with two blue steel body magazines. The ambidextrous safety lever sets it apart from its safety-less competitors. The Ruger weights only 26.5 oz empty. Frame is OD Green polymer with incorporated picatinny rail for optics and light attachment. These are rugged classic Ruger autos, tested in the field for over two years now. Own the SR-9 in the photo or one of its identical mates for only $ 399.95 California, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, Toledo civilian buyers $390 freight paid but no magazines included. Not for sale to Massachusetts destinations. Not transferable to civilians in Chicago.
