Over all, this MASTERPIECE by the great Sam Cult is a FANTASTIC example of an 1849 Colt Pocket Pistol in AMAZING CONDITION, with blue remaining on the barrel. The piece has an exceptional cylinder scene etched into the piece of a Stage Coach being robbed by bandits. The wooden grips are in excellent condition. Serial Number 110,xxx. This is an AMAZING example of the Colt Pocket 49 that should be researched further. This is a very limited production gun and a true piece of history. Made in all iron and is in EXCEPTIONAL condition. Excellent cylinder scene with beautiful sharp engraving. Sam Colt and New York City Address engraved in script on top of the gun barrel. Very fine and beautifully engraved. They just done make things like they used to in the past. This classic Colt Revolver is a true work of fine art. The 1849 Colt Pocket Pistol paved the way with Sam Colt and his Teams innovative ideas and set the president for what a reliable true handgun is supposed to be. This piece paved the way for the iconic COLT ARMY which the Union used in the Civil War to defeat the South.
