Description     Shipping and payments     Additional information
U.S. Springfield model 1884 Trapdoor rifle, serial# 128776, including correct bayonet with scabard. Rifle is completely original, retains most of its original bluing, has a crisp 1889 cartouche and a shiny bright bore. Case hardening on the trapdoor is bright, the wood is very good and has never been refinished. I was told the rifle came from an estate sale and that it had been in an old man's closet since the 1920's. Based on its condition I have no reason to doubt this.

I will gladly email numerous photos to interested buyers.
