The currently manufactured magazines do not, however, flush fit with the good old 39 and 639 variants manufactured from the late 1960s up until about 1988, like the Alabama domiciled specimen in the photos, due to their polymer floorplates. These new Triple K magazines, however, preserve the original configuration on those older guns, because of their blue steel floorplates. Construction is solid blue steel magazine body, steel springs and a precisely original Smith & Wesson style follower. This magazine holds 8 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Triple K, with almost 70 years in business, advertises their magazines as Bench Tested, with Perfect Feed Springs. Like all new products, these magazines come with a factory warranty from Triple K Manufacturing, 2222 Commercial Street, San Diego, CA 92113. Smith & Wesson 5900 series magazines will work, of course, in the DP-51, but the S&W mags protrude from the grip frame butt, where these flush fit as the photos show. These magazines will flush fit the traditional Model 39 and 639 Smith & Wesson Pistols. They will go into battery and work fine on any 3900 series Smith & Wesson pistol chambered in 9mm with single stacked magazines, including models 3913, 3914, 3953, 3904, and 3906. They will not work in double stacked 5900 series pistols, will not work in a Smith & Wesson Shield, Will not work on the dump lever of a 1947 John Deere Manure Spreader. They will only work on 3900 series metal frame Smith & Wesson Pistols. Single magazine price is $35 apiece. We’re offering these Triple K Magazines in lots of 3 or more, however, at only $29 each own 3 for only $ 87.00. Not for sale to residents of New York City. Any magazine deliveries into New York City require written permission of the Police Commissioner, so we cannot ship magazines into any of the six boroughs or 176 some odd zip codes, per NYC Code 10-131.10. Civilian residents of New York State are legally enjoined from loading more than 7 rounds into any magaine.
