1961 Springfield Armory (the armory not the company) built National Match 1911A1. All correct NM gun with matching numbers. Built on a Remington Rand 1945 frame and a Colt slide (they didnt care about matching them only the tightest specs). Only 972 were built in 61 and 137 sold to DCM shooters. Most went back to the armory for the following year upgrades.

You see lots of guns advertised as "NM". This one is 100% correct and has all the correct features and markings of a 1961 Military National Match. Always check for the "T" (targeted) SA and NM stampings. SN on the barrel as well as the correct draw number. Correct draw number for the bushing which has the last four digits of the SN etched on it. Correct sights. Correct checkered front strap. Cabelas lists a 1967 (3625 produced & 580 released to DCM) for $3995 and it isnt as nice as this one. More pices available.
