Description: WInchester Model 1894 over 100 years old. I would need to check serial number, but pretty sure this is something like 1 model 94. cresent butplate, 1/2 octoganal barrel, fully restored. I had this and a series of WInchesters I own restored 20++ years ago by the same old time Memphis Gunsmith, Mr.Highsmith. Pretty mich a legend in the MidSOuth. You will be hardpressed to find original WInschester finishes done like High did by a modern restorer. The barrel is relined so it is a 10 out of 10 barrel. I may have shot 15-20 rounds through the gun. To have it restored to this condition today would costs $6000++ in resto fees not including the value if a 1/2oct 38-55 model 94.Having the 20++ years of age on the restoration gives it a well work almost original look, vs a freshly restored gun which looks too good. As you can see, I changed up the receiver to case coloring. High's case coloring was just so good I had to do it to this gun. EVey piece of this gun, down to screws etc are original WInchester pieces that came on the gun when built. Nothing new or pieced together here. This is a great gun for the die hard cowboy shooters out there. You get the real thing but one that looks like it just walked out of the Winchester factory. The different types of blue(screw heads, barrel etc) are all correct.Look at the picture of the buttoin magazine top compared to the 1/2 oct barrel, just don't see these different styles of blueing done so perfect on modern repos. And notice the wood varnish he applied, forearm pic good example, as close to original Winchester as you will ever find.. I will look at offers.

I have lowered this price to $4000 from $5000. I will not lower again. Guys, if you are a coyboy shooter, you will just not find a nicer original gun. I know the case color receiver wasn't original, but this particular gunsmiths case color was some of the finest case I have ever seen. WHo here has seen this vibrant case color?? just as good as it gets. You could not get a 38-55 1/2mag 1/2 oct gun restored for close to 2x what I have this gun priced. It is really priced right

*** I am lowering the price to $3500, guys.. the gun in unrestored condition would cost 1, a full restoration would be $500-$7500 easily. My price of $3500 is about as fair as you will find. I know some don;t care for restored Winchesters, but for the Cowboy shooters out there, and those who like to shoot their guns, this is about a good as you will get in an early WInchester model 94. If it doesn't sell in the next week I am just going to keep it in the safe.I am doing the same price reduction on teh model 92 I have in another GA listing...
