Burnside 5th model civil war carbine 54 cal Breechloader Bore Exc, Mech Exc, Wood VG plus with excellent cartouche, Has a 22” Rd barrel with orig. sights , saddle ring bar, and has one barrel band. The stock has an original sline swivel. Metal overall has a dark aged finish with a little very fine pitting. The top of the receiver is marked Burnside patent Model of 1864 serial#15534 matching bolt. The lockplate is marked Burnside Rifle Co Providence RI. ANTIQUE
