Ithaca NID, Grade 2, NEW ITHACA FIELD, 12ga, 2 ¾” chambers, made 1938, features the desirable and cleaner profile with No Cocking Indicators, good screws, automatic safety, 28” barrels, choked Cyl & Full, left barrel professionally opened up from modified, very shiny bores, with one spot about the size of a pencil eraser 9 inches down right tube, mark on outside in same area, (possible dent removed?) Extractor gun, barrels retain 85-90% overall blue, with typical hunting marks and wear around the forearm area. The wood is solid with NO cracks, only minimal marks in the finish, very good checkering, ebony tip on Baker style forearm, LOP 14 ¼” over period Hawkins pad (original?), DAC 1 ½” DAH 2 1/2”. This old American beauty works great, swings smooth and is feared by SD pheasants! I love these old doubles, but need to thin the heard. $30 insured shipping to your FFL.
