The serial number of this treasure is 81864 and has 26" checkered, tapered barrels with concave rib all the which have retained their blueing. The bores are shiny. The top rib is adorned with dual ivory sighting beads. It has ejectors and a single selective trigger. The Receiver shows exceptional original case colors as seen in the photos. The trigger guard shows original blue across bow. The top of right barrel is marked "L.C. SMITH CROWN GRADE" and left is marked "MADE TO ORDER BY THE HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. FULTON. N.Y.". Muzzles have narrow band of border engraving, chambers have 1-1/2" wedge of scroll engraving, rib extension with scroll engraving and precious metal strip. The frame is beautifully engraved with oval on left plate with 2 setters and right plate with 2 pointers surrounded by flower blossoms and foliate arabesque scroll and ribbon on each plate marked "L.C. SMITH". Each side behind hinge pin and on bottom around trigger plate screw are floral bouquets. Top lever has scroll engraving and gold crown on pivot. The shoulder stock is created from beautiful walnut and has a cut in checkered butt plate. Note thbe lack of shell head impact marks on the breech faces. The checkered beavertail forend is in excellent condition. Bore diameter: left -.730, right -.735. Drop at heel:1 7/8" , drop at comb:1-1/4" . Weight: 7lbs. 8oz. LOP 14 1/4". The overall condition of both shoulder and forend stocks is excellent with only minor wear marks. The action is crisp and fully functional. The cost of shipping and insurance is $95.
