50/70 Springfield Live Round - Found at the Battle of Little Big Horn, 1876. Rare unfired 50/70 bullet and cartridge found General George Armstrong Custer 1876 Battle of the Little Big Horn. This intact 50/70 cartridge was dropped on the ground where it layed until 1995 when it was discovered. Found at "Scout's fight" south of Sitting Bull's camp. This was the first skirmish Reno's scouts faced as Sioux warriors charged to defend against Reno's advancement. Professionally framed together with Certificate of Authenticity stating that this cartridge was found on Reno Battlefield and to have been legally collected. The back glass covered map of battlefield and artifact point of discovery. Sold with copy of letter from U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management signed by Special AgentLee B.
