This gun is 100% restored as new just like if you bought this gun from WInchecter 125 years ago. I had this restored 20++ years ago,sat in my safe every since. I may have shot 20 rounds since. This is a sperfect of case coloring,correct different styles of blue ,wood varnish etc.. You will not find a more perfect representation of what a new model 92 looked like. Cowboy shooters should really like this gun, beat using one of the newer reproductions of the model 92. If you were to take a Model 92 and have a moder gunsmith restore like this gun is you would speend $6-7000 ++ if not more.NO new parts, all parts are original to gun, wood wasn't over sanded etc. Just as nice as you will find. A long time Memphis Gunsmith, who passed a few years ago did this work. His work is superior to any of the modern restorers work. *** I lowered this guns price from $5000 to $5000, this is almost 1/2 of what you would spend having a 1892 restored like this and it wouldn;t be near the correct gun this is. Pictures don;t dthese 2 restored Winchesters I have here justice. Cowboy shooters would be best with this gun vs one of the newer reproductions. Every finish is dead on, the case is as good as you will ever see. Just surprises me no one has taken this gun.. *** I am lowering the price on this and a 94 I have on GA to $3500, guys this gun in as found condition would cost $1250-$1750 and a full restoration like this would easily cost $5000-$7500. My price of $3500 is about as fair as you will find for a gun like this.This is not your average restoration, it is about as good as you will ever get, done by a gunsmith that has passed and very few around that had the skills this guy did. I knwo some frown on restored WInchesters, but for those who like to shoot their guns, CowBoy shooters etc..., this is about as good as you will get. Just nothing like thsi in new production and this gun is a close to what it was like 100++ years ago. A true antique firearm. I am going to leave thsi on GA for another week or two and if doesn't sell will just put back in teh safe. There are over 200 lookers, and many questions.
