This is a .31 caliber Allen & Thurber, Worcester-production standard size 6-shot pepperbox manufactured in 1937. This example, has a 4-inch long, 6-shot fluted barrel group. The bar hammer has the 1837 Allen's Patent date; the barrel is marked "Allen & Thurber Worcester". The barrel retains none of the original blue. The grips have over 90% original varnish with no dings or chips. You can still see the engraving on the frame party of the gun. The bores are in good shape with no rust. The action still turns and functions correctly.
