All offers will be considered!!

Up for sale is an old, pre 1899 Winchester Hotchkiss bolt action. I do not know a great deal about this rifle, except for what the pictures show. It has been in my family from the 1950's when my father bought it from a sporting goods store in Chicago. Yes, you used to be able to buy firearms in Chicago!! My father did have a letter from Winchester verifying that it was a 45-70. However, the letter is long gone. The bolt on the gun is flawless, the barrel is spotty, and the finish shows signs of black paint from some time ago. However, no rust. And the bluing has all turned to brown/plum. The magazine plug in the stock is no longer stacked into place. Front sight is missing. The gun shows signs of it's age, the stock is cracked at the wrist, and the toe of the stock is cracked. The gun is old, but a fine collector piece. Offers will be considered. No trades considered at this time.
