Description: This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. The Mossberg 590 and 500 Special Purpose Shotguns have long established themselves as a staple in the small arms arsenals of our soldiers, sailors, and police officers. Here is the most portable, but least pleasant shooting variant of the Mossberg 500 series, the special edition American Flag Cruiser Breacher. Manufacturer is O.F. Mossberg & Sons of New Haven, CT. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, trigger, magazine tube, and internal parts in an alloy receiver with high impact polymer trigger group housing, pistol grip, and forend. Barrel is 590 type with open lug that fits over the magazine, Heavy Contour, .945 outside diameter at the lug, 23 inch overall length with serrated face Breacher Muzzle Brake, of the variety used by well trained entry teams. No one should fire any shotgun muzzle against wood, unless one has the word Stupid prominently tattoed on his or her forehead. The same holds true for firing a cruiser grip shotgun with the grip anywhere near the shooter’s face. Front sight is Hex based solid brass, threaded into place. Chambering is 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch or 3 inch shells interchangeably. Magazine capacity is 7 + 1 on 2 3/4 inch shells, or 6 + 1 on 3 inch magnums. 590 magazines are constructed so that they can accept extensions, but an extension will likely contact the muzzle brake on this variant. Forend is traditional serrated black polymer corn cob type, with tactical offhand retention strap, helpful on a cruiser. Metal is water and sweat resistant military parkerized finish, with a matching black matte anodized finish to the lightweight alloy receiver. Note the American Flag laser engraved on the receiver and sewed into the forend strap. Safety, as the photos show, is traditional Mossberg top tang, polymer construction and user-friendly for southpaws. Pistol grip is factory issue hard polymer combat finger groove type, and brings the overall length to 32 1/2 inches. The pistol grip also imposes federal handgun purchasing requirements for civilian buyers, same state as the transfer dealer and minimum 21 years of age. Weight empty is 6 pounds 6 ounces with center of gravity at the forend rear. This specimen is what we call a factory demo. It served as showgirl for Mossberg’s sales force, on the road with their reps and writers; and at gun industry trade shows like the annual SHOT show in Las Vegas. Note that we retouched a scratched area on the front of the ejection port, as the photos show. Apart from it, surface detractions are minimal, really no more streaking and faint edge whitening than what one sees on many new display guns in stores. We rate it as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Shoppers can possibly spot the letter U stamped on the left side of the receiver above the serial number. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. If this shotgun was test fired, it was fewer than 20 times. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. This 500 Special Purpose comes in a relabeled Mossberg Factory Box with factory lock, instruction manual, NSSF and NRA flyers. Current pricing on the descendant 590 is upwards of $600 apiece in our area. We’re offering this one, however, for only $ 339.00. Not transferable to anyone under 21 years of age. Any ammunition shown in our photos is Not Included. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $60 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground or USPS Priority with full insurance coverage. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
