This is a PRE 64 rifle with a serial number placing its manufacture in the year 1949. This scarce rifle is in Very Good preowned condition. The 25” barrel is very good with some scattered surface wear. The muzzle is very good with some light loss. Bore is excellent; Bright with beautiful rifling, light wear. The receiver is nice with some blue loss. The left side was tapped for what appears to have been a peep sight. The holes are filled with filler screws; some signs of previous sight. The stock walnut stock is beautiful with some signs of handling wear consistent with age. No breaks or cracks; Very nice checkering on both stock and fore-end. Metal butt plate. Rifle has been fit with a weaver scope.
