Beautiful Custom Ruger #1 in 375 H&H Caliber. Gun is Standard 1-H Tropical Configuration with 24" Heavy Barrel, #1 Wood, Ruger Rings and a Quarter Rib. The standard aspect of this fine piece ends there. Receiver, Barrel, Front Swivel Band, Lever and Upper Section of Scope Rings are Engraved in a Very Tasteful Scroll Pattern. Engraving Signed By Reno. A Double Gold Barrel Band on end ads a very nice touch. As we understand, Reno's wife Scrimshawed two Ivory Inlays, one on each side of the receiver with a Cape Buffalo Head on each (See Photos). The left side is signed K Reno. This is Very High Quality Work by a True Artist. Metal and Ivory work are Excellent. The Wood Work is not far behind. Excellent High Figure #1 Wood with a Unique Checkering Pattern including side panels and lower forend next to receiver. A Ribbon Effect was used to separate the Checking Patterns. The Wood has some minor handling marks leaving one to believe that this gun was used as a working gun at one time. A Unique and Very Collectible Ruger #1. FFL Required. Shipping detailed in ad.
