This is a fine sporting , higher grade specimen. The cal. is 18.3, similar to the 12 Ga., but not the same.Barrel length is 27 1/2". The proof marks can be seen in the pic's. Serial number 732 is present on the parts. The 3 tipped crown and the "P.T" stamp indicate that it was produced from the St. Etienne arsenal in 1900 or so.And also indicated it is safe for smokeless powder. Engraving is really nice, on the screws as well. The wood is lovely European Walnut. The butt plate appears to be horn, cool. The edges are all crisp with no breaks or cracks. The receiver is marked "Wonder". The original case is in good shape. Not perfect. But still a nice feature. There is minor wear marks on the outside of the barrels, not significant. The bore on both barrels are shiny and bright. Look like mirrors. This gun was well maintained by the gentlemen who owned it. No wonder the vet wanted to ship this one home. A period correct wooded ramrod is included in the case. FFL to ship please, post 1898.
