For sale we have one of the nicest Marlin Model 90's that we have ever handled. Not mint, but pretty darned nice! Gun is 16ga, with 28" barrels, choked .610 over .630, which we believe translates to EXTRA full over full, based on comparing measurements of 2 different Winchesters, both marked "full" and measuring roughly .630.
There is a very tiny chip out of the toe of the stock, from 2 feet away you can't see it, but it is there. The tip of the buttplate is chipped off, and the buttplate (not sure if it is the original one or not) is cracked at the bottom screw. There are a few handling marks on the buttstock, normal for a gun that was hunted in this part of the world. There is also evidence of what looks to have been moisture at the heel, again see the photos, they should tell you more than I can here. There is what looks like white paint on the surface of the stock, near the Marlin "Bullseye" insert. We did not try to clean it off, we don't feel we should hide anything from you, the potential buyer. The stock and forend are sound, and retain nearly all the original finish.
There is a bit of high-corner blue wear on the bottom corners of the receiver, again really hard to see from 2 feet away. On the left side of the barrels there are a few small blue loss spots, again see the photos. But overall, the blue would rate 97-98%.
In general, a really nice gun, with a tight action, that doesn't look to have been fired a lot. We don't have choke gauges for 16ga, nor barrel calipers, so the chokes are an educated guess. The bores are perfect.
The gun's empty weight is 6 1/4 pounds, the LOP from the front trigger is 14 5/16", drop at the comb is1.5", drop at the heel is 2.25". Triggers break cleanly at 6 3/4#. Automatic safety.
QUESTIONS? Please just ask, we will answer to the best of our ability. We are not gunsmiths, but try to go over guns to give you the best possible description so there aren't any surprises! Pickup sometimes available, you will abide by both your state's laws and Wisconsin's, and will pay sales tax of 5.5% instead of shipping charges.
The price on this gun is $750 plus shipping to your FFL, and yes, we DO ship to California, just check with your FFL to be sure any gun you are looking at is legal where you live.
We prefer payment by USPS money order, if you are sending any other form of payment, please remember that we will wait for checks to clear before we ship anything. Tracking info sent, if you request it when you mail payment and the FFL. Since we are semi-retired, you may reach the answering machine, if so, please leave a message with a good time to return a call. Thank you!!
