Here is an excellent reincarnation of the fabled Winchester 1892 Trapper, a Puma Lever Action chambered in .44 Magnum Caliber, manufactured in Brazil by Rossi and imported by Braztech in Miami, a Taurus held company. Its only departure from the classic 1892 design is a hammer block safety, mounted unobtrusively on top of the bolt just forward of the hammer. Metal is entirely blue steel. Forend and buttstock appear to be Brazilian Walnut. Buttplate is blue steel as well. Weight is a pleasantly balanced 6 pounds empty. Barrel is 16 inches long, and capacity is 8 rounds of .44 Magnum ammo. Weight empty is only 6 pounds, and overall length is a compact 34 3/8 inches. Buyer will receive the Carbine in the photo or one of its identical mates. Replacement price on these is upwards of $600 in our area.
